Smarty

Has anyone here ever had experience using Fusion News with smarty? I'm doing a small project where I'd prefer to use a pre-made news system then take the time to code it all myself and can't get it to seem to work.

Displaying the news is normally a very simple task done by simply including /fusion/news.php.

Doing that with smarty brings up some errors. I've tried including it and trying to store it in a variable, but it ends up being the first thing posted to the page. (Which of course isn't desired.)

Anyone who has had experience with this in the past, your help would be greatly appreciated.
