Hi,
I previously wrote my own custom compiler class and was setting the $compiler_class property in my subclass extending Smarty 2, after upgrading to Smarty 3 it seems now this property is no longer available and I get the following error:
Undefined property: Smarty::$compiler_class
How can I use Smarty 3 and load my custom compiler class? Thanks. |

Anyone? I've been trying to find a way to override the default smarty compiler class and load my own without having to alter the smarty code base. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Smarty3 has a completely different internal structure as Smarty3 and cause of it's extended features the compiled templates also have a different structure.
So the old Smarty_Compiler.Class.php is gone.
What was the purpose of your Compiler Class? Did you implement a different syntax?
Anyway we currently have no documentation and examples how to integrate other compilers.
I will send you a PM with my email contact. Perhaps you can provide your Smarty2 compiler class and we can work something out. |
