Hey guys,
I have converted my site to smarty but I am having a problem.
My site pages are dynamic and googlebot doesn`t seem to find them.
The auto generate sitemap sites cannot see them either.
Is this normal, doesn`t seem so from a quick forum search, maybe my configuration is out somewhere.
I am using htaccess to mod rewrite my pages from /?action=blah to /blah.
Not sure how to get to the bottom of this one...

My links look: \\*www.rooftiler.co.uk/flatroof*\\ with no .html could that be the problem?
I bet it`s a noob mistake... |

I`m not sure if it is or not.
The .html line at the end was a sort of afterthought but seems worth looking into now. |

As long as they are working, they are fine.
URL scheme does not have a concept of "extension" in any way, shape or form. |

All of the links work on the site and I have made a manual sitemap so that google knows that they are there but I am still worried that I have made a mistake somewhere.
Is it unusual for the sitemap generators to not see dynamic pages on a website? I`d have thought that they would have followed the links in my menu?
My manual sitemap was uploaded and has been processed today but still only my front page has Indexed.
Hopefully the other pages will gradually appear.
I have messed up, the dynamic layout of the new site made it difficult to 301 my old pages and as the site was, at the time, doing well, I didn`t bother to learn how to do it.
Most of my old juiced html pages are now deindexed...... I am going to attempt to rebuild my old site pages, I predict that my .htaccess dynamic stuff will make it difficult to do..... |
