Hi there,

I downloaded the Google Map Class files recently and have been trying to set them up.

I am using a WAMP server locally and do not run PEAR. I can connect to a MySQL DB but have never done so using a DSN as in your files. I am unable to run the class as I get errors relating to attaching to the DB, then API key issues (I have entered my own API key) and then lastly javascript errors (I have no idea why as I run javascript all over). I am using Firefox as my default browser.

I would like to setup just a small number of markers with the ability to get directions to/from these markers.

Any assistance appreciated.

Paul

The latest CVS version addresses a small javascript error if you are using the built-in directions features.

As for PEAR DB, you can install it separately from PEAR, just drop the files where you'd like them and include DB class file. Its also possible to extend the GoogleMapAPI class and make your own DB connection functions.

When you say drop the files where you want them does that mean all the files with the DB-1.7.13 installation or can I get away with just the DB.php and the PEAR.php files?

My host installed those two files in my www directory but I'm still not able to connect to the database. I don't know if the entire package was installed into a higher directory that I don't have access to or not.

Thanks in advance,

Ron
