Hi Guys,

Hearing about the smarty architecture, I had requested a company online to build a CMS tool with Smarty. The turn around time for the product took so long and I had to stop them from continuing any further.

I have only the work that they have uploaded on the live site so far, but am not able to figure out which framework or engine they have used for building the site so far. They are not telling us what engine they have used and our online search ran out in vain.

Is there a way to figure out what engine they have used? Programs are organised under the given structure

/htdocs
+-- admin (folder)
+-- css (folder)
+-- images (folder)

+-- lib (folder)
++-- class.engine.php (FILE)
++-- class.config.php (FILE)

+-- system (folder)
++---- module1 (folder)
+++------ design (folder)
++++-------- img (folder)
++++-------- tmpl (folder)
+++------ language (folder)
+++------ class.module1.php (FILE)
+++------ config.php (FILE)

If any of you could figure out if this structure resembles one of the smarty engines that you have come across please drop a note.

Thanks,
WH

If they used third party software, surely some of the library files will divulge itself in the comments/headers.

Hi,

The agency was from russia and the headers are all translated into russian language. We tried to get into many programs but weren't successful so far.

It uses smarty structure.

There is a file called class.engine.php which is the core of the system as it parses each php file and replaces the global variables like DOMAIN_URL, HTTP, CSSPATH etc. before the programs get delivered to the user browser.

So we are in stalemate now.
