|
|
I've got GoogleMapAPI 2.5 working and it's great. The only problem is that I would like to change the Sidebar output from the unordered list to sections (either as divs or cells in a table, depending on how cranky IE is going to be with my CSS). I've already stripped off the <ul> and <li> tags, but now I'm stuck in how to make the function "understand" which marker number it is currently processing.
My thinking is that if I can add an external counter I can pass the value to getCreateMarkerJS() and add various tags to sidebar_html. So, for example, I could add the logic
Code: | if ($i == 0)
$_output .= '<td>';
elseif($i == 6)
$_output .= '</td><td>'; |
and at the end:
Code: | if ($i == 11)
$_output .= '</td>'; |
Unfortunately, I'm stuck at how to set up an external counter. Any ideas?
Thanks. |

I would also like to see additions to the sidebar
functions.
It would be nice to have a choice whether or not to
add a placemarks title to the sidebar.
It would be nice to have a scrollable sidebar.
It would be nice to have the concept of 'folders',
and drop down selection boxes, somewhat like
Google Earth.
I am currently working on a 'city size' map that has
about 1500 placemark icons on it, and that makes
the sidebar unusable as EACH title is added to the
sidebar. Of the 1500 icons only about 50 of them
are 'masters' for the rest of the 'sub-icons'.

I believe you can add a scrollbar to the sidebar with CSS. There is some code posted in this forum about it. |
