I'd like to use domTT instead of overLib as "popup-engine". I've read this mailing list thread from a while ago. True, for existing projects it's impossible to switch between the two. The domTT functionality should be combined with Smarty tags. I'd prefer domTT for its compliancy and stuff, while others might want the support for old browsers that overLib has. It would be great to have the possibility to chose. What do you think?

I am using overlibmws since a few weeks now. It's like overlib 4.0 Alpha but has some nice improvements and is more stable for me.

The good thing is that overlibmws is backward compatible Very Happy

But if you like domTT so much why don't you implement your own plugin function for Smarty?

EDIT: For the original overlib CVS see http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/overlib/overlib/#dirlist

Implementing my own is certainly the next step I'll try to take, resp. looking at Scott Barron's solution. I'm just not such a good programmer, so I was hoping, that release that comes out tomorrow, for me, would have the desired functionality. Hm.
