|
|
Need an advice to solve the following problem with smarty:
I have to extract the first word of a variable, e.g. the variable "$a" with the content "hello world foo ..." must be seperated in two variables: "$b" = "hello" and "$c" with the rest (which can be of different size) of "$a", so "world foo ...".
So another example: $a = "the second example foo"
Variable a must be seperated in:
$b = "the"
$c ="second example foo"
Thanks for your help! |

You will probably want to do this in PHP, either do this work first and assign to the template, or handle in a template plugin. In PHP this can be done with:
Code: | list($a,$b) = preg_split('/\s+/', $string, 2); |
