Hey everyone,

I know its kind of a stupid question, but the Smarty Template Engine is by no means relevant for any GDPR / Privacy Shield related topics as no personal data is collected or transmitted to the USA, isn't it?

Smarty is a templating engine. It does not do anything by itself. However, HOW do you use it, MAY be related to GDPR. Consult your local lawyer about all inquiries related to law regulations.
