| Hi, I am new to smarty and recently I just got a new project that uses smarty version 3, the php version I am currently used is php7.4, and the project used php 5.3. I am wondering , if there is a possible way for me to upgrade smarty version 3 to 4 or I have to downgrade my php to php7.1 and below for it to work well. The current combination smarty 3.1 with php7.4 still can ru n by I git error : Undefined property: Smarty::$tmpfile in SmartyClass line 697. If u know how or can direct me to another possible solution will be much appreciated. |

v3 supports php up to 8.0, so I don't get your urge to upgrade. Make sure you are using latest 3.1 release, and you should be in no trouble for a couple months at least.
Regarding your issue, please post a complete backtrace. |
