|

I have 3 templates, with dozens of customers who will be uploading their specific variable info (CompanyName, content paragraphs, and logo) to a mysql database. One of the variables will be their choice of which of the 3 templates they would like to use.
Is there an example anywhere for how to set up a smarty form to collect, and later allow the customer to edit, this data? I prefer to use this rather than having the customer edit their info right on the wysiwyg page.
We will be using this for setting up specific time and attendance / employeee time tracking sites, each at a unique URL but will be hosted on the same server.
Or should I be creating my own forms for this since the templates will just be interacting with the mysql anyway?
Also, if I am "using a sledgehammer to affix a thumbtack", and smarty is way too complex to be using for a simple template display, warn me off from this crazy plan before I get too far, heh heh.
thanks for any learned advice,
