Can someone please explain why $smarty->clear_all_cache(); does not remove the files in my cache folder? I get no errors the files get generated just fine but I can not get them cleared for hte life of me. Any help is appreciated.

It should clear them. Is your cache_dir setting correct, and does the user executing the script have permission to delete the files?

The files are being written by apache and that is who si trying to delete them right? THe config has to be right if the files are being put there inteh first place right?

It should work, what OS are you using? Maybe try a simple script that unlinks a cache file, see if that fails.

I really appreciate your time in this. I know it should work, I honestly can't believe it does not. I am having problems getting the unlink to work so I assume the issue is with the serever. The IUSR account is disabled on this box and I will have to get that situated. I will update my progress as I figure this out.
