hi all,
over the last 2 years i been developing an advanced cms framework.
its not just designed for a website, but can deal with anything.
i releasing 2 products based off the same code first will be a website cms and the other will be a game server control panel.
i wont get into detail at preset becuase the amount of people may take idears which i cant have right now

well getting to the point what is the licence with smarty becuase i need to fork it as a pure php5 code.

and only to work under php5, yes i know it will work but the way i am extending smarty it would work better if i stripped the whole package and release it as a fork. is this legal ...

becuase many of my classes will interact with smarty and wont just work as a template engine but more of the main core of the cms if you know what i mean.

i hope this wont be much of a problem so i can budle it with the cms.
and just so you know the project is free and open source under GPL.

Steve

It's not necessary to fork smarty just to use it with E_STRICT and PHP5: http://www.phpinsider.com/smarty-forum/viewtopic.php?t=8944
