I've been building this site for awhile and now I want to show it off to the Smarty Community.

Darkscribes.org: The Home of Anime and SciFi Fan Fiction

The site is entirely built with Smarty as its backend templating system. There are a lot of things that Smarty has made a whole lot easier. Having the code separate from the template has made making template tweaks so much easier.

I have built several addons that are site-specific. Things like the pagination (I call them breadcrumbs) controls that are on several of the pages are built using a Smarty addon module that I simply call with a line of Smarty template code. Combined with caching capabilities, the site's performance has skyrocketed.

All in all, Smarty has made my life easier when building this site.

To tell you the truth, I've never worked with Smarty before.
