Hi everyone,

I'm new to smarty and trying to use MySQL.
After I looked at some of your example code, I try to make mysql function calls,
but keep getting:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /var/www/html/smarty/examples/db.php on line 6

Do I need particular libraries or include files inorder to use mysql functions?
Also, I don't see the function in the smarty manual, are these funcitons directly from
PHP?

confused,
Angela

mysql_connect is a function from PHP the manual page is at http://www.php.net/mysql_connect the reason it is undefined is you either did not build PHP using --with-mysql or you need to include the mysql module.
