Hi all,
How to use php to prevent SWF files (Flash) not be cached in end-user machine.
Any help greatly will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

You could open the swf file with PHP and parse it to the visitor using a SWF header and a pragma: no-cache header (or something like that)

But has this anything to do with Smarty?

Bhezad, I believe that Mocean's suggestion wasn't an html hack at all--he is suggesting an HTTP hack using PHP. This is actually not a bad suggestion, all-in-all, though it does come with a performance penalty. It may be easier to do something in your Apache configuration to handle your issue.

Unfortunately, this will not prevent ALL clients from caching -- indeed, you can't pervasively prevent a client from caching if they are configured to always cache and never check for cache expiry. Fortunately, caching behaviour is relatively predictable, so you should be able to do something that works for most users.

Never-the-less, perhaps you can pose this in a way such that it has some relevance to Smarty? It seems that this would be more appropriate at a flash or apache related forum.

good-luck!
